So, today's !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! inspired me to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! my own Veyron. This is how mine turned out:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I actually would have preferred to make my exterior out of aluminum like the car in the article but unfortunately that wasn't an option.
What would your ideal Veyron look like? I want to see what you would actually consider buying, not the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

That looks sort of similar to the Pur Blanc.
My favorite variant.

That's what I just ended up doing .
Damn it. I set out trying to make an abomination. Honestly.
But then it turned into making something I'd actually want.
I mean, brown carbon.

Yes, it was a huge influence on my design. I also like this one:

Wow. That interior is actually quite stunning. I never thought brown and blue would work.

Ugh this car is seriously beautiful with the right color combos...

I couldn't agree more.

It's supposed to be "Beluga Black," so not really blue. Blue is my absolute least favorite interior color.

Time to sell the McLaren and pick one up to daily drive!

Haha. I'm quite certain my wife would have a fit. I assured her that I would slow down my car shuffling after the age of 70. In fact, she has been getting after me recently because I'm eyeing a friend's LP670.

Ah, I see. Yes, I'm not very partial to blue as an interior color either.

At least now we know the love of cars does not dissolve as time goes on.
I bet she dislikes the fact that you have two of the same exact car as well.

At least not in my case.
She does indeed. When I brought home the second one, I actually tried to convince her that I bought it as a present for her but she wasn't having any of it. Haha the last few years have been:
1. purchase a car
2. figure out how I'm going to explain it to the wife

Haha! That's hilarious. You should invest in an off-site garage, that'll keep her at bay. At least until she asks where you're spending your entire day.

I really like dark blue on saddle/baseball glove/ whatever Bugatti calls it. Also, clear taillights, and polished metal bits. (They do have an option for just polished or matte metal, it's the ones at the beginning that end in MET). Here's blue carbon:
And here's matte blue paint:

I contemplated calling their headquarters in Alsace when I lived in France, just to profess my love for the Veyron but then I chickened out. These are my favourite editions: Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès and the Centenaire.

That's not a bad idea at all. Now, I just need to come up with more excuses for why I'm leaving the house so often.

Beautiful and thanks for informing me about the metal options. I guess I was overwhelmed with the color options and just ended up missing them.

That would have been quite the experience if they allowed you to tour the factory. I just watched the "how it's made" episode about it and was very impressed with their facilities.
Beautiful choices as well. I especially love the wheels on the first one.

They really do offer a huge number of color choices, as they should.

Oh I wholeheartedly agree.

I went to Alsace once to visit a friend in Strasbourg and I actually looked into going there for a visit but the train connections were very limited...

Interesting. So is it located in a fairly remote part of France?

The headquarters is a castle in Molsheim.
![]() 08/08/2014 at 13:44 |

Not really. Molsheim is right on the border between France and Germany, near Baden-Baden (1h drive), and Nancy (1h45 by car).

Thank you for the information.

I know. I saw it on the episode today. It was so interesting to see that old world castle and the modern factory next to it.

Work is slow so i'll bite. I have become a sucker for a deep purple body with a nice red/black/carbon fiber interior. The Audi R8 and Jaguar F-Type currently offer nice examples...

That is truly gorgeous. I wish there were more deep, rich purples offered by manufacturers.
This is one of my favorites:
